Trachyphyllia

Trachyphyllia & Wellsophyllia are very similar in care. Maintaining stable alkalinity and pH are crucial to long term success. Trachyphyllia are one of the corals that we find most likely to develop new colors of zoaxelle bacteria flourishing in their flesh even months and months after acclimation to a new tank – it’s amazing to watch them progress, and we are currently working on a process tank for these corals in particular where we will move them from Quarantine to 60-90 days at a lower par, lower flow, in a high nutrient environment before we move them into our larger coral systems.
