How do I cancel my Membership subscription

You can login to your account, navigate to My Subscription, and find the “Cancel” button.

Please note that this will change your Membership Subscription status to “Pending Cancellation” – we have to finalize the cancellation on our end.

Do I receive a credit if I cancel my membership subscription before my next renewal

Sorry, no. Your membership is pre-paid for 1 year and we do not credit early cancelations.

Will I be notified before my next Membership Subscription renewal

Yes, for sure. You’ll receive an email 15 days before your Membership Subscription is set to renew, giving you time to decide whether to cancel or continue your membership.

What is the Cart Amount Shipping Discount threshold

This is the amount you need to spend to qualify for discounted or free flat-rate shipping on your order.

This threshold amount depends on the location in the US the order will be shipped to.

Bonus – Having a Detroit Reef club Membership reduces this amount, so you can spend less to receive a discounted or free flat-rate shipping.

How do I redeem a Gift Membership

Gift Membership recipients will receive an email. This email contains a coupon code, as well as a link to our website that will automatically apply your code.

Alternatively, you can manually enter your coupon code at checkout.

A very important step is to actually add the correct Detroit Reef Club Membership subscription to your cart.

Gift Memberships are directly tied to specific membership subscriptions.

When checking out with a Gift Membership, you will notice that you are still being charged $0.50 (50 cents) per year.

This is because our memberships are subscription based, and need to be tied to a valid Credit Card or PayPal account.

After the order has been successfully placed, you will be charged $0.50 (50 cents) per year for the number of years the Gift Membership provided.

After the Gift Membership credit has been exhausted, the yearly membership subscription cost will revert to it’s normal price.

PLEASE NOTE: Gift Memberships are usually restricted / assigned to an email address to prevent unauthorized use.

If you attempt to checkout with an email address other than the email the Gift Membership was assigned to, you will receive an error, and the Gift Membership coupon will be removed.

What are the steps involved in purchasing a Gift Membership

1Choose the membership subscription length that you would like to apply to your Gift Membership(s).

2Adjust the quantity if you are purchasing multiple Gift Memberships, and add them to your cart.

3At checkout, you’ll be asked who you wish to send (email) Store Credits / Coupons to (don’t mind the “Store Credits / Coupons” wording – Gift Memberships are actually a type of coupon).

You can use them yourself or send them to someone else.

4If you wish to send to someone other than yourself, you’ll get some extra options

  • Provide a valid email address.
  • Provide an optional personal note.
  • You can choose a later date to send (i.e. send it on someone’s birthday)

Note that if you purchase multiple Gift Memberships, you can send each of them to a different recipient, including a separate note.

5Once you’ve completed checkout, we will send redemption instructions to your recipient(s).

Note that Gift Memberships will be restricted to the email addresses of your recipient(s) so no one else can use them.
