Description
General information about Alveopora:
Alveopora, a close cousin of Gonipora, has long flowing tentacles with very little bone structure in relation to its tissue. Different Alveopora can be clustered together in our experience, though while they may look similar – Gonipora and Alveopora placed close enough to each other to come in contact will result in warfare.. A good general rule for identification is that Alveopora has 12 “petals” on each tentacles while Gonipora has 24. From a care requirement stand point, we find Alveopora to be less sensitive to moderate phosphate levels (0.10-0.20) than Gonipora, and overall an easier specimen to keep thriving.
