2/5/2025 – Today we watched something exciting in the Low Light Tank at DRC, a Lg Nassarius Snail Laid what appears to be a clutch of viable eggs.
We have had Trochus and other snails breed at our facility, but this is the first known instance of Nassarius procreating at our facility to we’re very excited!
We have been keeping between 50 and 300 snails in this tank for probably about 6 months now.

Nassarius Snails common name in Indonesia translates to Fish Carcass Cleaner, they are detrivores that live in the Sand Bed and are excellent at tracking down uneaten food and virtually any other decaying organic matter that might find its way into your tank. They are a cornerstone of our Clean Up Crew in all of our Reefs.
