How to Train your Sun Coral: To achieve easy to execute feedings, ensuring the long term health and growth of your Sun Coral, as well as predictable polyp extension, follow these steps!
1. Place Your Sun Coral in your tank, it can be in total darkness or in lots of light, makes no difference, decent flow is important.
2. Identify your *most* frequent feeding time, if you have NO pattern to your feeding, you’ll need to establish one – it doesn’t need to be every day, but 4-5 days a week.
3. Each day when feeding at this time (each day that you do), melt your fish food with any vitamin/enrichment you normally use, then add an appropriate amount of live phytoplankton for your tank and spray a couple “sprays” of food directly at the Sun Coral and wait 10-15 minutes, or until polyps extend.
4. Feed vigorously any polyps that react and extend to feed.
5. Repeat as often as possible
Within a short time your tubastrea will learn the schedule and be ready and waiting, and generally, out for a solid 2-4 hour period right around that feeding.
