The DRC Livestock Guarantee
We guarantee livestock health on all of our livestock when shipping! Just follow these simple instructions to ensure a healthy transition to your tank, and provide good communication and documentation to our staff so we can best help!
All correspondence regarding shipping issues & livestock guarantees should be directed to shipping@detroitreefclub.com.
Make sure you're home, or someone 18 or older is home to receive the package the day of delivery
Do not refuse the shipment if the box is wet, or leaking - we strive to get every box to you clean and dry, but things happen when the box is out of our possession, and some leaking water or box damage doesn't mean hope is lost - sending the box back with FedEx wont help the coral inside!
If there is any evidence of issues during shipping - cold water, broken bags, etc, please notify us via email, with pictures, within 2 hours of package delivery from FedEx/UPS. If picking up cargo, please notify us within 4 hours or pick up at the cargo facility. At this point, corals should still be introduced into your QT or tank depending on your process - some corals (Euphyllia is a great example) can look extremely dead after a flight, and within a few hours, be fully extended again.
Do not remount your coral for the first few days, removing the coral from the media it was shipped on will void your guarantee.
Do not ship any coral or livestock back to DRC without prior authorization or your guarantee will be void.
Guarantee applies to online orders only - When buying in store, please inspect corals carefully to pick the specimens that look the healthiest to you.
Order cancellations will be credited for 1 year, or refunded with a 20% restocking fee.
Any Livestock Credit will be applied to your account as credit for future purchases. It is not our policy to issue a refund in these instances, but feel free to email us to request special considerations.
