Description
General information about Favia / Favites:
Encrusting Corals aren’t terribly difficult to keep, but beginners often find them to be very slow growing. They have a substantial skeletal structure so they require an ample and balanced availability of dKH and Calcium to grow. Most tend to fluoresce brighter colors in higher light. They can be pretty versatile when it comes to flow, but very few corals can be used to fill a “hot spot” from a strong power head and thrive as well as Favia or Favites!
